Wellness programming should be considered an integral part of any organization’s operations rather than a one-time cost for short-term benefit. It is our experience that many corporate health and safety programs don’t fully recognize the value of taking a wellness-focused approach.
Working in a remote location can be extremely stressful and demanding on an employee’s wellness. Physical workload, dissatisfaction with safety, and contingency measures are only some of the factors affecting wellness amongst employees working in remote locations. Thus, in remote locations it is especially important for an employer to focus on the wellness of their employees.
